The process management system calls in Linux:

  • fork(): Used to create a new process.
  • exec(): Execute new process.
  • wait(): wait until process execution.
  • exit(): exit from the process.

  • getpid(): to find the unique process id. 
  • getppid(): to find the unique parent process id.
